Or, maybe brush farmers . . . or rock farmers . . .
I’m not sure what kind of farmers we will end up being, but I’m pretty sure that all farmers are mud farmers in January!
At least if we are growing mud in January, we get to walk often by the beautiful creeks and hear the water falling over the rocks.
What a nice Saturday we had! We had planned to fence the back barnyard. That was plan A. Those beautiful rocks, those creeks – make planting fence posts pretty frustrating! So, we had to adjust our planned fence path – at least twice! And, couldn’t get it all done.

Farmer man had plenty of opportunity to use his fancy weedeater and chainsaw to clear the property line behind the barn. So one whole day with 5 adult citified farmer folks working tirelessly from brunch til dark yielded a whopping 250ft. section of fence. Still, any progress in January is progress, and some of our help was awfully cute!

Maybe we will get it enclosed sometime before spring.
Either way, lots of hard work for just a little gain. Seems like a good day for cookies!

The quick, out of the tube kind – we were too tired for anything more!
